MADRID (Reuters) – Spain’s Cellnex will transfer 1,100 sites in Britain to British telecommunications infrastructure operator Wireless Infrastructure Group (WIG), the Spanish mobile phone tower company said on Monday.

Financial details of the deal, which have not been disclosed, are part of Cellnex’s acquisition of Hong Kong-based CKH Holdings UK assets.

Britain’s competition watchdog, the CMA, has made the sale of at least 1,000 Cellnex towers in the UK conditional on approving the planned takeover.

The deal with CK Hutchison is now expected to close in mid-November, Cellnex said in a statement.
